In the Old Master Pictures auction, the work Lilies, passiflora, jasmine, morning glory and other flowers in an urn on a stone ledge; and Roses, tulips, jasmine, an iris and other flowers in an urn on a stone ledge sold for GBP 38,240.00 (€ 49,982.26) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Gaspar Peeter Verbruggen the Elder; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Still Life Of A Vase Of Flowers In A Niche sold at auction in January 2007 with the realized price of USD 102,000.00 (€ 78,473.61).
