Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2003 Christies in London held the auction OLD MASTER PICTURES, which included the work A garland of roses, tulips, cornflowers, foxgloves and other flowers against a stone cartouche by Gaspar Peeter Verbruggen the Elder. The price achieved of GBP 14,340.00 (€ 18,684.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gaspar Peeter Verbruggen the Elder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life Of A Vase Of Flowers In A Niche in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 102,000.00 (€ 78,473.61).
