Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Pine Tree by Gao Qifeng. The price achieved of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 42,861.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 320,000.00 – 400,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gao Qifeng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roaring Lion in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 15,640,000.00 (€ 1,454,621.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pine Tree von Gao Qifeng zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 42.861,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 320.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gao Qifeng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Roaring Lion im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 15.640.000,00 (€ 1.454.621,49).
