Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Gao Qifeng achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Peach Blossoms sold for HKD 693,000.00 (€ 76,755.39) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 260,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gao Qifeng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roaring Lion in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 15,640,000.00 (€ 1,454,621.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gao Qifeng erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Peach Blossoms für HKD 693.000,00 (€ 76.755,39) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 260.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gao Qifeng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Roaring Lion im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 15.640.000,00 (€ 1.454.621,49).
