Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Austrian three Monkeys by Gabriel von Max was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in December 2016. The price achieved of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,151.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gabriel von Max have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Der Atelierbesuch (A Visit To The Artist'S Studio) in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 298,000.00 (€ 282,143.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Austrian three Monkeys von Gabriel von Max wurde im Dezember 2016 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.151,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gabriel von Max auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Der Atelierbesuch (A Visit To The Artist'S Studio) im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 298.000,00 (€ 282.143,53).
