Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A View Of The Mikhailovsky Palace From The Garden by Gabriel Lory the Younger was sold in the Russian Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in June 2009. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,334.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gabriel Lory the Younger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Rare Set Of Twelve Lithographs With Views Of St. Petersburg in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 68,500.00 (€ 79,951.77).
