Auction result misses estimated price range
In November this year a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait of the artist's son, Ernst by Fritz Syberg for DKK 7,000.00 (€ 938.85). This price was achieved in the auction The Funen painters at Bruun Rasmussen and was even below the estimate range of DKK 8,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fritz Syberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work “Landskab - Uroligt vejr i Juli” in March this year with an auction result of DKK 140,000.00 (€ 18,787.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait of the artist's son, Ernst von Fritz Syberg für DKK 7.000,00 (€ 938,85) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Funen painters bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von DKK 8.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fritz Syberg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit “Landskab - Uroligt vejr i Juli” im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 140.000,00 (€ 18.787,71).
