A top price for Friedrich Salathé
In January 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art, which included the work Woodland Study by Friedrich Salathé. The »bidding war« ended at USD 96,000.00 (€ 73,857.52), 60% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Woodland Study the most expensive artwork by Friedrich Salathé that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Januar 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Woodland Study von Friedrich Salathé zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 96.000,00 (€ 73.857,52) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Woodland Study zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Friedrich Salathé, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
