Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Off Greenwich by Frederick Edward Joseph Goff was sold in the Maritime auction at Christies in London in May 2003. The price achieved of GBP 1,292.50 (€ 1,800.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Edward Joseph Goff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work London Bridge With St Paul'S Cathedral Beyond, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 4,320.00 (€ 6,357.17).
