Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2015 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings, which included the work A river landscape with travellers resting on banks; and A river landscape with travellers crossing a river by Franz de Paula Ferg. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,496.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Franz de Paula Ferg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Italianate Town With Figures Gathered Around A 'Commedia Dell'Arte' Play, A Castle On A Hill Beyond; And An Italianate Town With Figures Dancing The 'Saltarello' And Making Music in May 2006 with an auction result of EUR 150,000.00.

Im Oktober 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A river landscape with travellers resting on banks; and A river landscape with travellers crossing a river von Franz de Paula Ferg zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.496,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Franz de Paula Ferg erzielen.
