Auction result misses estimated price range
In April this year a collector was able to acquire the work View Over the Red-Roofed Farmhouse Beneath the Eucalyptus by the Dairy, Old Arroyo Seco, South Pasadena, California by Franz Arthur Bischoff for USD 2,040.00 (€ 1,847.83). This price was achieved in the auction California Art at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Franz Arthur Bischoff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Mixed Bouquet Of Roses in November 2004 with an auction result of USD 321,100.00 (€ 242,175.13).
