Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Christies in Paris held the auction Fashion Photographs from the Susanne von Meiss collection, which included the work Evening dress, L'Officiel, Paris, 1989 by Frank Horvat. The price achieved of EUR 3,780.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Frank Horvat have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Givenchy Hat (A), Jardin Des Modes, Paris -1958 in November 2014 with an auction result of EUR 26,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Fashion Photographs from the Susanne von Meiss collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Evening dress, L'Officiel, Paris, 1989 von Frank Horvat zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.780,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frank Horvat auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Givenchy Hat (A), Jardin Des Modes, Paris -1958 im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 26.000,00.
