Auction result well in line with expectations
The work L'Italie by François Dufrêne was sold in the Art Contemporain Vente du Jour auction at Sothebys in Paris in June 2017. The price achieved of EUR 25,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by François Dufrêne - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work L'Italie - 1966, which sold at auction in June last year for EUR 65,616.00.

Die Arbeit L'Italie von François Dufrêne wurde im Juni 2017 in der Auktion Art Contemporain Vente du Jour bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 25.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von François Dufrêne mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit L'Italie - 1966 beobachtet, die im Juni letzten Jahres für EUR 65.616,00 versteigert wurde.
