Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nature morte à la bougie by François Bonvin was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 42,840.00 (€ 39,921.72) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. Admittedly, works by François Bonvin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work L'écolier in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 169,250.00 (€ 203,504.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nature morte à la bougie von François Bonvin kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 42.840,00 (€ 39.921,72) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von François Bonvin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit L'écolier im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 169.250,00 (€ 203.504,06).
