Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Spazio-Luce by Francesco Lo Savio was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 109,250.00 (€ 139,254.55). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francesco Lo Savio - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spazio luce, which sold at auction in April 2017 for EUR 486,880.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Spazio-Luce von Francesco Lo Savio im Oktober 2008 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 109.250,00 (€ 139.254,55) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Francesco Lo Savio mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spazio luce beobachtet, die im April 2017 für EUR 486.880,00 versteigert wurde.
