Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Still Life with Fruits by Fernando Botero. The price achieved of USD 327,600.00 (€ 295,321.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fernando Botero achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Musicians in November this year with an auction result of USD 5,132,000.00 (€ 4,704,803.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life with Fruits von Fernando Botero zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 327.600,00 (€ 295.321,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fernando Botero erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Musicians im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.132.000,00 (€ 4.704.803,81).
