Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 15Th June by Fang Lijun was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 1,500,000.00 – 2,500,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 1,512,000.00 (€ 161,883.29) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fang Lijun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Series 2 No. 4 in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 59,480,000.00 (€ 6,123,639.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 15Th June von Fang Lijun wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 1.500.000,00 – 2.500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 1.512.000,00 (€ 161.883,29) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fang Lijun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Series 2 No. 4 im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 59.480.000,00 (€ 6.123.639,27).
