Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Lago Maggiore Con Barca by Eugenio Gignous for EUR 33,850.00. This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century Paintings and Sculptures at Sothebys in Milan and was even below the estimate range of EUR 35,000.00 – 45,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Eugenio Gignous have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in April 2001 by the work View towards the Piazetta, Venice at GBP 25,850.00 (€ 41,673.44).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Lago Maggiore Con Barca von Eugenio Gignous für EUR 33.850,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century Paintings and Sculptures bei Sothebys in Mailand erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 35.000,00 – 45.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Eugenio Gignous wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im April 2001 die Arbeit View towards the Piazetta, Venice mit GBP 25.850,00 (€ 41.673,44).
