The work The Weavers by Eugène Girardet was sold in the The Orientalist Sale auction at Sothebys in London in April 2020. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 106,250.00 (€ 122,223.87), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eugène Girardet - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La gazelle apprivoisée - 1879, which sold at auction in December 2018 for EUR 300,400.00.

Die Arbeit The Weavers von Eugène Girardet wurde im April 2020 in der Auktion The Orientalist Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 106.250,00 (€ 122.223,87) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Eugène Girardet mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La gazelle apprivoisée - 1879 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2018 für EUR 300.400,00 versteigert wurde.
