Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Frencha Desert Caravan by Eugène Girardet was sold in the The Orientalist Sale auction at Sothebys in London in April 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,812.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Girardet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La gazelle apprivoisée - 1879 in December 2018 with an auction result of EUR 300,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Frencha Desert Caravan von Eugène Girardet wurde im April 2018 in der Auktion The Orientalist Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.812,55) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Girardet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La gazelle apprivoisée - 1879 im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 300.400,00.
