Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Bedouin Encampment by Eugène Girardet was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2019. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,998.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Girardet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La gazelle apprivoisée - 1879 in December 2018 with an auction result of EUR 300,400.00.

Die Arbeit A Bedouin Encampment von Eugène Girardet kam im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.998,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Girardet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La gazelle apprivoisée - 1879 im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 300.400,00.
