This artwork by Eugène Girardet achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in February 2018. In the Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art auction, the work French flight Into Egypt sold for USD 27,500.00 (€ 22,520.68) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Girardet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La gazelle apprivoisée - 1879 in December 2018 with an auction result of EUR 300,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Eugène Girardet erzielte im Februar 2018 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art wurde die Arbeit French flight Into Egypt für USD 27.500,00 (€ 22.520,68) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Girardet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La gazelle apprivoisée - 1879 im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 300.400,00.
