Despite a disappointment, a good price for Ernst Josephson
In December 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Swedish 14 Juillet by Ernst Josephson for GBP 381,000.00 (€ 428,759.69). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Paintings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 400,000.00 – 600,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Swedish 14 Juillet is the most expensive artwork by Ernst Josephson that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Ernst Josephson
Im Dezember 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Swedish 14 Juillet von Ernst Josephson für GBP 381.000,00 (€ 428.759,69) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400.000,00 – 600.000,00. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Swedish 14 Juillet das teuerste Kunstwerk von Ernst Josephson, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
