Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work German Still Life With Peach, Apricot, Grapes And Hazelnuts On A Tablecloth by Emilie Preyer. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 33,798.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Emilie Preyer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stillleben mit Sektflöte, which sold at auction in November 2015 for EUR 70,950.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit German Still Life With Peach, Apricot, Grapes And Hazelnuts On A Tablecloth von Emilie Preyer zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 33.798,39) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Emilie Preyer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Stillleben mit Sektflöte beobachtet, die im November 2015 für EUR 70.950,00 versteigert wurde.
