When the work Portrait De Trois Algériensemile Deckers ; Portrait Of Algerian Men ; Signed, Located And Dated Lower Left Alger 1956 ; Oil On Canvas ; Purchased Directly From The Artist By The Grand Parents Of The Present Owner by Emile Deckers was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in October 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, th Admittedly, works by Emile Deckers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Halte De La Caravane in May 2014 with an auction result of EUR 37,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Portrait De Trois Algériensemile Deckers ; Portrait Of Algerian Men ; Signed, Located And Dated Lower Left Alger 1956 ; Oil On Canvas ; Purchased Directly From The Artist By The Grand Parents Of The Present Owner von Emile Deckers im Oktober 2008 bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 6.250,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emile Deckers auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Halte De La Caravane im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 37.500,00.
