Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2008 Christies in London held the auction Nordic Art, which included the work Fantasia (Aurinkosuudelma) Fantasi (Solkyssen) (Phantasy (Sunkiss)) by Ellen Thesleff. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 18,000.00 – 24,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 18,500.00 (€ 23,532.81) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Ellen Thesleff have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2012 the work Spring Lush. was auctioned for EUR 46,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Nordic Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fantasia (Aurinkosuudelma) Fantasi (Solkyssen) (Phantasy (Sunkiss)) von Ellen Thesleff zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 18.000,00 – 24.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 18.500,00 (€ 23.532,81) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Ellen Thesleff konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2012 die Arbeit Spring Lush. für EUR 46.000,00 versteigert.
