Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work A village in the hills by Elie Anatole Pavil for GBP 937.50 (€ 1,152.22). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elie Anatole Pavil achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rêverie Sur Une Terrasse À Rabatelie-Anatole Pavil ; Daydreaming On A Terrace In Rabat ; Signed And Located Lower Left Rabat ; Oil On Canvas, In Its Original Frame in October 2012 with an auction result of EUR 132,750.00.
