Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Squares by Eileen Agar was sold in the Blazing a TrailModern British Women auction at Bonhams in London in September last year. The price achieved of GBP 2,295.00 (€ 2,611.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eileen Agar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Taking Aim in April this year with an auction result of HKD 176,400.00 (€ 180,138.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Squares von Eileen Agar wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion Blazing a TrailModern British Women bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.295,00 (€ 2.611,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eileen Agar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Taking Aim im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 176.400,00 (€ 180.138,91).
