Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Early Morning Tea by Edward Le Bas for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,454.44). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century British Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward Le Bas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Early morning, Waterloo Bridge, which sold at auction in December 2012 for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 20,040.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Early Morning Tea von Edward Le Bas für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 6.454,44) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Edward Le Bas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Early morning, Waterloo Bridge beobachtet, die im Dezember 2012 für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 20.040,76) versteigert wurde.
