Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Vampyr II by Edvard Munch was sold in the Masterpieces from the Collection of Sam Josefowitz: A Lifetime of Discovery and Scholarship auction at Christies in Amsterdam in October this year. It achieved a price of GBP 705,600.00 (€ 810,224.83), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edvard Munch achieve.
