Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Vampyr II by Edvard Munch was sold in the Masterpieces from the Collection of Sam Josefowitz: A Lifetime of Discovery and Scholarship auction at Christies in Amsterdam in October this year. It achieved a price of GBP 705,600.00 (€ 810,224.83), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edvard Munch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Scream in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 119,922,500.00 (€ 96,993,286.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Vampyr II von Edvard Munch wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Masterpieces from the Collection of Sam Josefowitz: A Lifetime of Discovery and Scholarship bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert.
