This artwork by Édouard Cortès achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in October 2021. In the The European Art Sale auction, the work Les Tuileries sold for USD 35,280.00 (€ 30,540.17) - well above the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Édouard Cortès - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Boulevard in Montmartre, Paris, which sold at auction in November 2012 for EUR 73,000.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Édouard Cortès erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The European Art Sale wurde die Arbeit Les Tuileries für USD 35.280,00 (€ 30.540,17) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Édouard Cortès mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Boulevard in Montmartre, Paris beobachtet, die im November 2012 für EUR 73.000,00 versteigert wurde.
