Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Fleuristes à côté de la Madeleine by Édouard Cortès was sold in the The European Art Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2021. It achieved a price of USD 23,940.00 (€ 20,723.68), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Édouard Cortès - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Boulevard in Montmartre, Paris, which sold at auction in November 2012 for EUR 73,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Fleuristes à côté de la Madeleine von Édouard Cortès wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion The European Art Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 23.940,00 (€ 20.723,68) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Für andere Arbeiten von Édouard Cortès mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Boulevard in Montmartre, Paris beobachtet, die im November 2012 für EUR 73.000,00 versteigert wurde.
