In February 2008 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Chilperic, 1960 by Edgard Pillet. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,478.00 65% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edgard Pillet - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Interzone - 1948, which sold at auction in December 2021 for EUR 8,840.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 65 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2008 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chilperic, 1960 von Edgard Pillet zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.478,00 und damit 65% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Edgard Pillet mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Interzone - 1948 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2021 für EUR 8.840,00 versteigert wurde.
