Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Mandala #12 by Eddie Martinez. The price achieved of USD 216,400.00 (€ 198,386.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 180,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eddie Martinez have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work High Flying Bird in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 15,725,000.00 (€ 1,823,808.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mandala #12 von Eddie Martinez zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 216.400,00 (€ 198.386,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 180.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eddie Martinez auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit High Flying Bird im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 15.725.000,00 (€ 1.823.808,88).
