In August 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures, which included the work Costume design for Armand, The Little Glass Clock; Costume design for 'Abbe Matignon, The Little Glass Clock; and 4 other unframed costume designs by the same hand by Doris Zinkeisen. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,040.00 (€ 3,015.66), 70% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Doris Zinkeisen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of Mrs Sanders Watney in May 2020 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 27,752.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
Im August 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Costume design for Armand, The Little Glass Clock; Costume design for 'Abbe Matignon, The Little Glass Clock; and 4 other unframed costume designs by the same hand von Doris Zinkeisen zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.040,00 (€ 3.015,66) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Doris Zinkeisen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of Mrs Sanders Watney im Mai 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 27.752,75).
