Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2011 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art, which included the work A hawking party in a rocky landscape, a castle beyond by Domenico Quaglio. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,660.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Domenico Quaglio achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abteikirche St-Ouen in Rouen in November 2021 with an auction result of EUR 55,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A hawking party in a rocky landscape, a castle beyond von Domenico Quaglio zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.660,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Domenico Quaglio erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abteikirche St-Ouen in Rouen im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 55.000,00.
