Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2009 Christies in London held the auction 20C British Art, which included the work Still Life with a Doll by Dod Procter. The price achieved of GBP 2,760.00 (€ 3,106.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dod Procter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Girl with a Parrot in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 140,500.00 (€ 198,103.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2009 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20C British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life with a Doll von Dod Procter zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.760,00 (€ 3.106,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dod Procter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Girl with a Parrot im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 140.500,00 (€ 198.103,24).
