Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life, with jug and figurine by Dod Procter was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in July 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,865.90) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dod Procter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Girl with a Parrot in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 140,500.00 (€ 198,103.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still Life, with jug and figurine von Dod Procter wurde im Juli 2012 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.865,90) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dod Procter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Girl with a Parrot im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 140.500,00 (€ 198.103,24).
