Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Landscape in sunset by David McLeod Martin was sold in the 20TH CENTURY BRITISH ART auction at Christies in London in August 2005. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 840.00 (€ 1,227.09), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David McLeod Martin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Summer bouquet in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,009.99).

Die Arbeit Landscape in sunset von David McLeod Martin wurde im August 2005 in der Auktion 20TH CENTURY BRITISH ART bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 840,00 (€ 1.227,09) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David McLeod Martin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Summer bouquet im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 15.009,99).
