Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2001 Christies in Sydney held the auction CONTEMPORARY ART, which included the work Reconcite Now! by David Larwill. The price achieved of AUD 7,050.00 (€ 4,092.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Larwill have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work What a Month in August 2005 with an auction result of AUD 38,240.00 (€ 23,303.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2001 führte Christies in Sydney die Auktion CONTEMPORARY ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Reconcite Now! von David Larwill zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 7.050,00 (€ 4.092,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Larwill auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit What a Month im August 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 38.240,00 (€ 23.303,76).
