Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reconcile Now! by David Larwill was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in May 2004. The price achieved of AUD 11,950.00 (€ 6,982.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Larwill - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work What a Month, which sold at auction in August 2005 for AUD 38,240.00 (€ 23,303.76).

Die Arbeit Reconcile Now! von David Larwill kam im Mai 2004 bei Christies in Melbourne zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 11.950,00 (€ 6.982,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von David Larwill mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit What a Month beobachtet, die im August 2005 für AUD 38.240,00 (€ 23.303,76) versteigert wurde.
