Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Venere Con Satiro by Daniel Vertangen was auctioned at Sothebys in Milan in November 2010. The price achieved of EUR 6,875.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Daniel Vertangen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Judgement of Paris, which sold at auction in May 2000 for USD 12,925.00 (€ 13,856.13).

Die Arbeit Venere Con Satiro von Daniel Vertangen kam im November 2010 bei Sothebys in Mailand zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.875,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Daniel Vertangen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Judgement of Paris beobachtet, die im Mai 2000 für USD 12.925,00 (€ 13.856,13) versteigert wurde.
