Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Chinese Works of Art, which included the work Landscape After Wang Fu, 1828 by Dai Xi. The price achieved of USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,152.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dai Xi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ancient Pine in April 2018 with an auction result of HKD 2,250,000.00 (€ 237,410.97).
