Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lamentation by Craigie Aitchison was sold in the Modern British & Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 8,960.00 (€ 10,427.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Craigie Aitchison achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nandi Bull in Front of Temple III in November 2021 with an auction result of GBP 138,600.00 (€ 162,729.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lamentation von Craigie Aitchison wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.960,00 (€ 10.427,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Craigie Aitchison erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nandi Bull in Front of Temple III im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 138.600,00 (€ 162.729,44).
