Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work A Fishing Boat off the Coast by Colin Hunter for GBP 4,780.00 (€ 6,978.65). This price was achieved in the auction THE FORBES COLLECTION OF VICTORIAN PICTURES AND WORKS OF ART at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Colin Hunter have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2006 by the work Salmon fishers at GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,653.89).
