It achieved a price of EUR 10,200.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 70 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vardea Chryssa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les portes de Times Square, New York in May last year with an auction result of EUR 315,375.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit White Ns Fugue 47 x 47 x 12cm (18 1/2 x 18 1/2 x 4 3/4in). von Vardea Chryssa wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion The Greek Sale bei Bonhams in Paris versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 10.200,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 70 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vardea Chryssa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les portes de Times Square, New York im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 315.375,00.
