This artwork by Vardea Chryssa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in November this year. In the The Greek Sale auction, the work Sans titre, Bleue 57 x 31.5x 22cm (22 7/16 x 12 3/8 8 11/16in). sold for EUR 15,360.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vardea Chryssa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les portes de Times Square, New York in May last year with an auction result of EUR 315,375.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 92 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Vardea Chryssa erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Greek Sale wurde die Arbeit Sans titre, Bleue 57 x 31.5x 22cm (22 7/16 x 12 3/8 8 11/16in). für EUR 15.360,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vardea Chryssa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les portes de Times Square, New York im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 315.375,00.
