This artwork by Cheng Shifa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in June this year. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Poem In Running Script sold for HKD 96,000.00 (€ 11,217.58) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cheng Shifa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ladies in Leisurely Pursuits in May 2014 with an auction result of HKD 7,480,000.00 (€ 707,419.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 92 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cheng Shifa erzielte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Poem In Running Script für HKD 96.000,00 (€ 11.217,58) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cheng Shifa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ladies in Leisurely Pursuits im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.480.000,00 (€ 707.419,35).
