Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Lotus by Chen Wen Hsi. The price achieved of HKD 51,000.00 (€ 6,206.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Wen Hsi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pasar (Market) in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 13,240,000.00 (€ 1,256,407.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lotus von Chen Wen Hsi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 51.000,00 (€ 6.206,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Wen Hsi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pasar (Market) im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 13.240.000,00 (€ 1.256.407,24).
