Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gibbon Family by Chen Wen Hsi was auctioned at Bonhams in Hong Kong in May last year. The price achieved of HKD 406,200.00 (€ 48,224.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 320,000.00 – 520,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Wen Hsi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pasar (Market) in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 13,240,000.00 (€ 1,256,407.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Gibbon Family von Chen Wen Hsi kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 406.200,00 (€ 48.224,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 320.000,00 – 520.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Wen Hsi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pasar (Market) im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 13.240.000,00 (€ 1.256.407,24).
